FR 450 Fire Retardant and Clear Sealer

FR 450 fire retardant sealer is a clear water-based sealer with superior weathering ability that can be used with our own WW 790. It penetrates deep into the wood to not only protect the fibers from moisture and mildew, but can also seal existing roof leaks. This penetrating action is unlike some sealers that put a glass-like coating over the wood, which does not allow for the expansion and contraction of the wood; because the wood is inhibited from breathing and flexing, the results are cracking, mildewing and early decaying of the wood. Additionally, FR 450 contains UV inhibitors to protect the wood from the devastating effects of sunlight and eliminates the yellowing effect.
